Blackburn Rovers vs West Bromwich Albion (2-1) – Match Review

Blackburn Rovers started 2019 with a much needed win against high flyers West Bromwich Albion.

Rovers coming away with a 2-1 win courtesy if goals from Charlie Mulgrew (direct from corner kick), and Bradley Dack.

As for West Brom, their goal came from a penalty from ex dingle Jay Rodriguez.

West Brom did have a player sent off in the final 10 minutes or so, which sealed the deal.

In this video we review the match, take a look at the match stats, and hear what the gaffa has to say.

Blackburn Rovers vs West Brom – Match Preview – 2018/19

Blackburn Rovers will start 2019 with another tricky fixture against West Bromwich Albion. Can we get the year off to a great start or will it more of the same?

Rovers come into this match on the back of 3 defeats, in fact they have not won in five matches.

As for West Brom, they come into the match in at least 5 game unbeaten streak, and hope to finish us off after the two sides drew at the Hawthorns earlier in the season.

In this video, I preview the match, build up and more.

West Bromwich Albion vs Blackburn Rovers (1-1) – Match Review – 2018/19

Blackburn Rovers held on for dear life as they managed to take away an unlikely point in a match that had pretty much everything.

Penalty claim ✅
Poor Defending ✅
Long range wonder striker ✅
Smallwood in goal ✅ (wait what?)

Thats right Richard Smallwood had to go between the sticks to help rescue a point as David Raya was struck in the face by Jay Rodriguez. At that point the match was level at 1-1.

Before that West Brom took the lead through some shoddy defense by Rovers which lead to a corner and goal by Dawson.

Rovers entered the 2nd half with more attacking gumpf and with continued pressing eventually took the lead through Harrison Reed who was by far the best player on the pitch.

Then the drama with Raya and Smallwood made for an exhilarating match which we held on for a point. West Brom will be kicking themselves as they missed the chance to go away with all 3 points.

Later on the channel a more detailed review of the match including words from the gaffa.

West Brom vs Blackburn Rovers – Match Preview – 2018/19

Blackburn Rovers head back on the road once again this weekend to take on high flyers West Bromwich Albion in the 2018-19 Sky Bet Championship.

Rovers come into the match on the back of a away defeat to Swansea City. Meanwhile West Brom also come into the match on the back of a heavy home defeat to Derby County after losing on Wednesday night 1-4.

Rovers may have to freshen up the squad for this match, and may look to replace Lenihan in defense after he picked up a knock last time out.

Will be able to grab something special this weekend at the Hawthornes or will be a happier day for the hosts?
In this video we also look at a few players who have played for both Rovers and West Brom and we get a terrible prediction from the Cat.
