Blackburn Rovers vs Rotherham United (1-1) – Match Review

Blackburn Rovers will enter the international break on the back of a draw against Rotherham United.

Despite dominating the match, Rovers fell behind to Rotherham who took their only real chance of the second half to take the lead.

However moments later Rovers were back in the match thanks to great build up by Ben Brereton who setup Bradley Dack for his 10th goal of the season.

Rovers could have scored multiple goals but will have to settle for a point. Next up Preston North End and Wigan Athletic.

In this video we hear from the Gaffa Tony Mowbray about his thoughts, we take a look at the other Championship results plus much more.

Blackburn Rovers vs Queens Park Rangers (1-0) – Match Review – 2018/19

Blackburn Rovers picked up a valuable win at Ewood Park against a resurgent Queens Park Rangers.

The only goal of the game came from the spot after Ben Brereton was fouled and with Charlie Mulgrew out of action the responsibility was placed on the shoulders of Bradley Dack to score which he did.

Besides that the game offered little opportunities for either side, QPR will feel a little hard done by as they were so close to sealing an valuable away point.

Next up for Rovers another home match this time against Rotherham United. As for QPR they head back to Loftus Road for Brentford.

In this video we get words from the gaffa (and fireworks), plus some match analysis.

Rovers: Leutwiler, Bennett (c), Lenihan, Williams, Bell, Evans, Smallwood (Palmer, 63), Reed, Dack, Armstrong (Brereton, 80), Graham (Rothwell, 74).

Unused substitutes: Fisher, Nyambe, Rodwell, Conway.

Booked: Reed, 18, Smallwood, 33, Evans, 55, Brereton, 90

QPR: Lumley, Bidwell, Freeman, Eze (Smith, 76), Scowan (Chair, 86), Luongo, Rangel (Furlong, 86), Wszolek, Wells, Lynch, Leistner (c).

Unused substitutes: Ingram, Hall, Cousins, Osayi-Samuel.

Booked: Luongo, 3, Eze, 50, Leistner, 65

West Bromwich Albion vs Blackburn Rovers (1-1) – Match Review – 2018/19

Blackburn Rovers held on for dear life as they managed to take away an unlikely point in a match that had pretty much everything.

Penalty claim βœ…
Poor Defending βœ…
Long range wonder striker βœ…
Smallwood in goal βœ… (wait what?)

Thats right Richard Smallwood had to go between the sticks to help rescue a point as David Raya was struck in the face by Jay Rodriguez. At that point the match was level at 1-1.

Before that West Brom took the lead through some shoddy defense by Rovers which lead to a corner and goal by Dawson.

Rovers entered the 2nd half with more attacking gumpf and with continued pressing eventually took the lead through Harrison Reed who was by far the best player on the pitch.

Then the drama with Raya and Smallwood made for an exhilarating match which we held on for a point. West Brom will be kicking themselves as they missed the chance to go away with all 3 points.

Later on the channel a more detailed review of the match including words from the gaffa.
