Millwall vs Blackburn Rovers (0-2) – Match Review

Blackburn Rovers continued their unbeaten start to 2019 as the beat Millwall 2-0 and The Den.

The goals came very late, the first via Joe Nuttall, not the prettiest of goals, but very vital. The 2nd came in quick succession as substitute Adam Armstrong scored via an excellent counter attack.

In this video we hear what Tony Mowbray had to say after that match. We take an deeper look at the story of the match and get the thoughts from both sides of the fence, with a video from Millwall supporter Michael Avery.

Millwall vs Blackburn Rovers – Match Preview – 2018/19

Blackburn Rovers return to league action this time they head down south to London to take on Millwall.

This will be the second time these two sides lock horns, after the first encounter ended 0-0.

Rovers come into the match on the back of a 1-1 draw with Premier League Newcastle United in the FA Cup.

As for the hosts they come into the match on the back of a FA Cup victory over Hull City.

Millwall’s recent form could cause some concern for Rovers, as they have won 4 out of 5 in all competitions.

In this video I spoke with Millwall supporter Michael Avery about their chances, to get his input on the match. Plus we get a prediction from the cat.

Blackburn Rovers vs Millwall (0-0) – Match Review – 2018/19

Blackburn Rovers opened up their home season with a draw against a very difficult Millwall side.

The match ended with zero goals, however plenty of drama, with Millwall hitting the post 2 in the first half with Rovers hitting the cross bar just the once.

Into the second half, Rovers looked the deadlier, and could have scored a couple of goals to wrap up the points but no joy for Blackburn.

In this video we go over the match in a bit more detail with analysis, fan input and words from the gaffa.

Rovers: Raya, Nyambe, Lenihan, Mulgrew (c), Bell, Evans, Smallwood (Armstrong, 66), Bennett (Travis, 79), Dack, Palmer (Rothwell, 64), Graham.

Unused substitues: Leutwiler, Nuttall, Downing, Conway.

Millwall: Archer, Meredith, Hutchinson, Cooper, Williams, J. Wallace (Ferguson, 89), Gregory, Romeo, Morison (c), O’Brien (Skalak, 70), Saville.

Unused substitutes: Amos, McLaughlin, Tunnicliffe, Elliott, M. Wallace.

Booked: Williams, 44.

Referee: Gavin Ward.

Attendance: 13,239 (851)
