Aston Villa vs Blackburn Rovers (2-1) – Match Review

 

Blackburn Rovers returned to Sky Bet Championship football with a 2-1 defeat to Aston Villa at Villa Park.

Goals from Tammy Abraham and Tyrone Mings gave Villa a two goal lead. Rovers had to turn to Amari Bell to provide any hope as Blackburn pushed for an equalizer.

The win continues a torrid spell for Rovers as their season draws to a close. Where as Villa will hope this win edges them closer to securing a playoff spot.

Aston Villa vs Blackburn Rovers – Match Preview – 2018/19

Blackburn Rovers return to Sky Bet Championship action with a trip to Villa Park to take on Dean Smith’s Aston Villa.

Rovers head into the match on the back of a defeat to Sheffield Wednesday.

Whereas the hosts Aston Villa come into the match on the back of a 3-0 win over fellow playoff chasing Middlesbrough.

Blackburn will hope to see some fresh faces return on Saturday with Mulgrew, Rodwell and Lenihan all on the fringes of a return.

Blackburn Rovers vs Aston Villa (1-1) – Match Review – 2018/19

Blackburn Rovers returned to league action as they took on Aston Villa at Ewood Park. Rovers managing to grab a valuable point in the end despite going ahead with only minutes remaining on the clock.

The goals came from Bradley Dack for Blackburn Rovers and Conor Hourihane for Aston Villa.

Dacks goal was a cheeky wee backheel and Conor Hourihane’s was a belter from a free kick.

An honest point in the end, in game which could have gone either way.

Blackburn Rovers vs Aston Villa – Match Preview – 2018/19

Blackburn Rovers are back in action after the completion of the International break. Heading to Ewood Park to take on the mighty blue and white will be Aston Villa.

Rovers come into this match after a bit of beating by Bristol City in the last match after Blackburn lost 4-1.

Villa on the other hand come into this match in similar form, as they too lost their last match 4-1 against Sheffield United.

Rovers will hope to have a few key players back for this one, with Bradley Dack returning from injury and we could see a full debut from new boy Ben Brereton.
