Brentford vs Blackburn Rovers (5-2) – Match Review

Blackburn Rovers fell to a heavy defeat against Brentford at Griffin Park losing 5-2 which ends their recent 4 game winning streak.

In fact the result is Rovers first defeat in the league in 2019, as for Brentford however their nice run continues with this being their 5th win back to back.

Rovers in fact burst into life at the start of the match scoring two goals within the first 10 minutes. The 1st a nice goal for Bradley Dack, with the second a nice set piece scored by Danny Graham.

As for Brentford they clawed their way back into the match before half time to reduce the deficit. However in the 2nd half they exploded into life with a quick equalizer scored by my danger man Olly Watkins. After that, with Rovers searching for a winner the game was stretched, and Brentford took full advantage of that a took the lead. 2 further goals were added, as we tried to get back into it.

Ultimately Rovers fell short, and Brentford kick on up the table. Hopefully Rovers can bounce back next weekend against Bristol City.
